Move

1) Deadlifts: Build to a technical set of 3

2) 10 Minute AMRAP:

9 Dumbbell Deadlifts
6 Dumbbell Hang Power Cleans
3 Dumbbell Push Presses
*Rest as needed to maintain unbroken sets

Train

1) Deadlifts: Build to a heavy set of 3

2) “DT”

5 Rounds (10 Minute Cap)”
12 Deadlifts @ 155/105
9 Hang Power Cleans
6 Push Jerks

Stimulus

1) Do not go to failure. Aim for around 90% of 1RM if things are feeling good, rest as needed

2) Select a weight that you could do all 27 reps unbroken if you had to, except you’ll follow a strategy similar to the following:

11 mixed grip deadlifts
1 deadlift + 8 hang power cleans
1 hang power clean + 6 push jerks

The limiter will be the push jerks, load for this movement and not the other two (regardless of how “easy” the deadlift will be)

In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
