Sun Mar 31 "Run Club Week 2"

1) Establish a warm-up routine: here we will delve into a variety of warm-up drills and stretches that will allow you to optimize run mechanics and reduce risks of injury that can accrue over the running season

2) Practice running mechanics: here we will discuss how to run and try to figure out the gap between what you’re doing and what you’re working towards as far as running mechanics are concerned

3) Running: we’ll be heading outside (dress appropriately) to do longer interval work (run & walk). Maximum distance today will be 8km but many will be doing a combination of running and walking or a slow jog for a shorter distance

Not to worry! Feel free to come to OPEN GYM from 9:30am-11:00am to get in something else of your choice:

  • Mobility (we will open the Mobility MVMNT membership so you can choose a video if you like)

  • Strength/Weightlifting work

  • Skill work

  • Make up a CrossFit class/workout from the week
