COACH FEATURE: Nora Rittinger

Say hi to Nora! She’s a first-year student at the University of Saskatchewan and has been a coach here at CrossFit CL for two years, focusing on kids' gymnastics and weightlifting. We are excited that she has just recently joined the coaching group for adult CrossFit classes as well :) Nora grew up in a super active family—she's pretty sure she was riding a bike and paddling a canoe by the time she was four!

She first heard about our gym from Finn and Mandy a few years ago, and later met Meranda at a weightlifting meet we hosted. From there, she was hooked! To Nora, weightlifting and CrossFit go beyond just staying fit. They've helped her manage stress, given her more insight into her body, introduced her to some amazing friends, and most importantly, keep her happy!

When it comes to favorite movements, Nora loves box jumps, push jerks, and—surprisingly—burpees! She likes that they’re simple, yet explosive and tiring. But what really keeps her coming back is the community. Walking into the gym every day, she's surrounded by inspiring people, each with their own special kind of determination. It's that magical vibe that makes the CrossFit community her absolute favorite.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As a female athlete and coach, Nora’s all about empowering the girls she coaches to know how capable and strong they are. She credits her 'girl power' passion to the fitness community (and admits she has plenty of girl crushes at the gym!).

Oh, and fun fact: Nora has two cocker spaniels, Andie and Leo, who are her best friends. She’s excited for a year full of CrossFit, weightlifting, and meeting more of you as she starts coaching more!

Say hello to Nora next time you’re in the gym!
