Workout of the day

1) Deadlift: 3-4 Sets x 4-6 Reps @ 65-70% @ 4-5s Isometric (1” off the floor on ascent)

Move

20 Minute AMRAP:

12 Push-ups
8 Kettlebell Deadlifts
6/4 Calorie Recovery Bike

2) “Jim”

9 Rounds For Time:
24 Push-ups
8 Deadlifts @ 215/135

*20 Minute Cap

Stimulus

1) Tighten up and squeeze until the bar is suspended off the ground, hold for 4-5s, stand up quickly, lower the bar to the ground and do it all over again. Focus on maintaining tension throughout the entire body here, breathing where you can

2) A LOT of push-up volume here. Focus on core tension, shoulder position, and quality reps. This won’t be possible to do well unbroken so plan ahead and be virtuous in these three focal points. Deadlifts should not exceed 60% of 1RM

Jim Bungerz passed away after a 6 month fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Use today’s workout as a reminder that we are lucky to do it when others are not so fortunate. The message behind this workout is “Get Up For Those Who Can’t” - from his son, Morgan Bungerz
