Strength Looks Like…

At a gym, it’s easy to think strength only means barbells, pull-ups, and workouts on a whiteboard.

But if you’ve spent any time inside CFCL, you know that’s not what we see most days.

We see women coming in after long workdays and busy nights with kids.
We see women returning after injury, illness, or time away.
We see bodies changing through different seasons of life.
We see people caring for parents, partners, children, and friends — and sometimes finally choosing one hour for themselves.

International Women’s Day is March 8, but this isn’t just about one day. It’s about recognizing the quiet courage it takes to keep showing up, especially when life feels heavy or uncertain.

So this month we want to do something different.

Instead of us telling stories about the women in our community, we want to hear from you.

What does strength look like in your life right now?

For some it might be lifting a barbell again.
For others it might be managing stress, rebuilding confidence, healing, or simply walking through the doors when you didn’t feel ready.

We’ve created a short form where any woman in our community can share a bit of their story — and a photo if you’d like. You can also nominate another woman in the gym whose strength has stood out to you. Sometimes the people beside us see our growth before we see it ourselves.

Throughout March we’ll share these voices, as a reminder that strength takes many forms, and no one is doing it alone.

Thank you for being part of this place and helping make it what it is — a space where showing up matters more than being perfect.
