Standing Behind Our Mission
Most of our members found their way to StrongFit by referral. They’d heard good things from a member of the gym, a member of the fitness community, or from someone they trust. Some people love us, others have tried it and it wasn’t their thing. Nevertheless, we strive for the same goals as when we opened the doors:
Each and every member will be treated with the same respect, dedication and focus - no matter the ability, skill or fitness level. I can’t imagine it any other way. We’ll invest in you as much as you’re willing to invest in yourself.
We want our type of training to be more financially accessible, and will strive to bring membership costs even lower the more we grow. Since opening the doors 2.5 years ago, we’ve added lower rates for students, seniors, and have corporate rates available. We have the lowest rates in town, the most flexible membership plans, and maintain our keen focus on providing the best service with no compromises. We have increased services offered without increasing membership rates, moved from a 24 to 33 hour weekly schedule, and gone from 6 to 7 days a week.
Our team members are our most important assets and we aim to take care of them to the best of our ability. Our coaches and operational staff have increased in number and we are proud of the impact they make. .We are always looking to provide them with opportunities to grow and pursue what they’re passionate about. Our members can now train up to 6 days a week, with 2 recovery classes available on rest days.
You’re probably wondering why this is worth mentioning.
The goal of CrossFit CL, StrongFit’s CrossFit alias, is to grow the gym to a point where members are always within reach of the coaches. You should never feel lost in a sea of exercisers. Workouts can be confusing, movements are complex, and there’s always something to work on. Despite our best efforts to cater workouts to each individual member, we want to make sure you’re motivated to keep working on improving every day. This is why we are now offering a new service for unlimited members, the “Goals” session.
“Goals” is a 30 minute session that is booked once per month, in advance, based on availability. If you need a closer look at how you are moving in certain exercises, you need a private setting to work on advancing skills, or you’re stuck and you need to chat about what to do next, then I’m available. This is nothing new for some of you as I have always been open to helping when I can; before or after class, by e-mail, and by appointment. This just opens it up to all those that are on an unlimited membership to help you set and reach your goals. Here are some examples of what we could work on during this 30 minute session:
gymnastics volume homework
assessment of and accessory prescription for core, hips, back, and shoulders
improving or maintaining flexibility
progressions and regressions of any CrossFit movements
talk about CrossFit
watch videos of my kids/cats online
