Phase 3 Gym Schedule

COVID Schedule.jpeg

We’re Almost there!

Classes starting June 8th

We are less than two weeks away from the potential re-opening of our doors!

Our Phase 3 schedule will be updated every two weeks based on class sizes and we will continue offering Zoom classes while limits are in place. As part of our efforts to keep the gym safe, showers will not be available at this time and classes will run for 45 minutes in order to disinfect thoroughly after classes. This means we get to experiment with the schedule and run a trial block of early morning classes for the first two weeks after reopening, tentatively from June 8th to 21st:

  • On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays we will have classes starting at 5am and they will run back-to-back until 9am. On the same days, we will be offering 4pm classes.

  • For Monday through Friday we will be offering 9:30am, 12pm, and 5pm classes.

  • Our latest classes will start at 6pm and will go from Monday to Thursday.

  • Saturday classes will be at 9:30am and 10:30am.

  • There will be opportunities to do outdoor workouts on Sundays to accommodate larger groups, dates will be selected based on weather and availability. These will be more of a social gathering with equipment available for those that choose to exercise.

The full view of the schedule can be seen online or by using the Mindbody app, choosing StrongFit YXE as the client.

These in-person classes will have a sign-up limit of 10 people and for now there are no restrictions on booking over the next two weeks. It is my hope that we can accommodate everyone’s schedule by adding classes and that no one that wants to be working out at the gym will be displaced.

There will be an excess of some equipment such as medicine balls and dumbbells that will be available for members to use while restrictions are still in place. I invite these members to join us on Zoom for the 12pm and 5pm virtual classes where the coach will walk you through the workout alongside the CrossFit classes and provide scaling options, workout strategies, and to help keep you in the community while working out at home.

Each day I will continue to upload the Daily Explanation Video for those that workout outside of our class times. Each of these videos will provide the same scaling options, strategies, movement descriptions and demonstrations that you would expect in classes.

I will still be available for members to do personal training sessions as part of your membership. For the past few months, you all have toughed it out on your own and there will some loss of motivation, movement efficiency, and you may have developed movement patterns that are causing pain. Sessions will run 30 minutes and you can e-mail jason@strongfityxe.com to book them.

In this first block of our schedule there will be a total of 56 coached classes (online and in-person) per week. This is the most we have ever offered despite reduced specialty classes that were available before our closure, such as CompTrain, Recovery, Beginner Weightlifting, and Rowing. It is with this schedule that I hope we can come close to picking up where we left off back on March 17th and that members are prepared to work through the next few months before our move.

As stated previously but with further clarification, all members that were with StrongFit during COVID-closure will have their membership rates locked in for as long as they would continue to use our services. It was with your support, that you opted to continue your memberships despite the option to immediately terminate your membership, that we are able to reopen our doors.

Members that would like to sign up again as well as new members can continue to enjoy our current rates until the second month in our new building. While our rates are increasing, we still offer the best value in all memberships available in Saskatoon and area. Building location and additional details will be provided in the coming months.

As always, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your contributions to our gym and community.

Sincerely,

Jason
