Member Appreciation Week & Gym Anniversary

September is almost here, and that means it’s time to celebrate YOU—our incredible CFCL community! We’re kicking off the month with Member Appreciation Week (Sept 2–6), leading right into our 9th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 6.

This week is all about fun, gratitude, and connection. Here’s what’s in store:

Member Appreciation Week

Gratitude Wall

We’ll be setting up a gratitude board at the gym entrance where coaches and members can leave shout-outs to each other. Take a moment to write a note, celebrate a teammate, or recognize someone’s effort—it’s a simple way to highlight what makes our community so strong.

Attendance & Dress-Up Raffle

From Sept 2–6, every class you attend = 1 raffle entry. Want more chances? Every time you dress up for a theme day, you’ll earn an extra entry!

👉 To enter: simply write your name on a slip of paper and drop it into the draw box at the gym entrance. (If you dressed up that day, put in two slips—one for showing up, one for showing off!)

Virtual Members: Val will track your entries for you. If you win, you’ll receive a gift card of your choice that can be used wherever you are located.

Theme Days

Every day during Member Appreciation Week has a special twist—each one comes with a themed workout and a chance to dress up for bonus raffle entries!

  • Tuesday, Sept 2 – Gymnastics Day
    A skill-focused gymnastics workout. Earn an extra entry by showing off your best “gymnast” look.

  • Wednesday, Sept 3 – Weightlifting Day
    It’s all about the barbell! Bonus entry if you rock a weightlifting-inspired outfit.

  • Thursday, Sept 4 – Running Day
    Get ready to move—today’s WOD has a running twist. Bonus entry for your best runner-style gear.

  • Friday, Sept 5 – Powerlifting Day
    Big lifts, big energy! Bonus entry for showing up in your best powerlifter look.

  • Saturday, Sept 6 – CFCL Gear & Special WOD
    Wear your CFCL swag for Saturday’s classes. We’ll take group photos after each class to capture the energy and celebrate the week!

These theme days are perfect for laughs, photos, and great memories. We’d love to see your energy and outfits on social media—don’t forget to tag us @crossfitcl.150 #CFCLmemberappreciation.

Bonus: If you know a “specialist” in any of these areas (Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Running, or Powerlifting), invite them to join us for a FREE trial class that day! If they stick around and sign up for a membership, you’ll receive a $50 credit on your account.

Saturday, September 6 – Anniversary Celebration

We’re turning 9 years strong (almost a decade!) and celebrating in true CFCL style—with sweat, smiles, and time together.

Morning (9am–12pm) – Special Anniversary WOD

We’ll kick off the day with a workout designed just for the occasion. Expect a fun partner/team-style WOD that brings everyone together. Remember to wear your CFCL gear & stick around after—we’ll be snapping a group photo after each class to mark this milestone!

🎁 Special Treat from Supplement King
Our friends at Supplement King will be on-site with free samples for members between 10am–12pm. They’ll be set up in the entry area with single-serve options—perfect to grab before or after your class. Be sure to stop by and try some supplement samples (and don’t worry, cups will be available if you don’t have your shaker handy).

Afternoon (2-4pm) – Let’s Get Pickled!

After the WOD, keep the celebration going with some fun outside the gym as we take over the courts at Bridge City Pickleball (480 1st Ave N, old Granite Curling Club location) for a couple of hours of pickleball!

No need to be a pro—this isn’t a formal tournament. We’ll have space for everyone to jump in, try something new, and maybe even smash a few rallies. It’s all about laughs, movement, and spending time together.

👉 Please RSVP to our FB EVENT so we know how many people to plan for! Please note, if you do not have your own paddle, you can rent one from the venue for $2.50, court rental and balls are covered.
