What does yours look like? #extension #OWW
This weekend we are focusing on extension; in the snatch, in the clean, in the jerk. Your extension is a product of everything that happened before it, and we will discuss set-up, muscle-activation/loading throughout the first and second pulls, and why your extension is the way it is.
Saturday is run as a Mock Meet in that you will be maxing out both the snatch and the clean and jerk, and is not recommended for anyone that has never performed these movements before. There is little coaching but of course there will be something for everyone to focus on individually (extension this week).
Sunday is run as a technical day, where there is a lot more talking, Q & A, and detailed explanation of the movements. This is recommended for anyone looking to increase their knowledge of the lifts and to practice the basics. It is recommended that you have experience with deadlifts, squats, and presses prior to attending. FYI everyone that is looking to compete in the sport should be attending. Even if you are an experienced lifter, the basics should be practiced on a regular basis.
I am also looking to move these classes to a more accessible day and time, please give me any feedback that is feasible (not 5am and not 8pm, that sort of thing).
