THE WOODS FAMILY

The Woods Family, a diverse group of individuals with unique strengths and interests, has found their home at CrossFit CL (thanks to the hounding of Rob we are sure :P). Let's get to know each member of this dynamic clan:

Rob: Rob, the CFCL OG of the Woods family, thrives on the community and camaraderie that group classes offer. An ER doctor by profession, he embraces the challenge of acquiring new skills through CrossFit. Rob's friendly competition with his son Jonah keeps him motivated, as he endeavors to stay one step ahead.

"I love the community and camaraderie of group classes and the challenge of learning new skills. Trying to stay ahead of Jonah for as long as possible."

Jonah: Jonah, a first-year university student in the Edwards School of Business, was the next family member to join. He joined CrossFit during the pandemic when other activities were unavailable. Grateful for the gym's continued operation, he aspires to surpass his father in all things CrossFit, making him a rising star in our community (he won our most improved athlete award this year).

Erin: Erin, the family's pediatrician, recently joined CrossFit in preparation for a family Spartan race. She finds joy in longer workouts, and surprisingly, Olympic weightlifting movements are growing on her. Erin brings her dedication from the medical field to the gym, contributing to the family's commitment to fitness.

Naysa: Naysa, a Grade 10 student, sporadically joins CrossFit when her track and volleyball schedule allows. Despite her occasional attendance, she claims the title of the fastest runner in the family, showcasing her natural athletic prowess.

Gary: Last but certainly not least, there's Gary, the four-legged family member. A regular at the gym, Gary attends CrossFit once a week and has earned the title of the most popular CrossFit member in the family. His favorite part of class? The stretching/warm-up, where he gets scratches and occasionally distracts others. Gary's dream workout? More fetch!

Meet the Woods Family, where passion for fitness, friendly competition, and furry companionship converge at CFCL!
